07 Taash Playing CardsDOC 234—34/2
banana leaves, recycled cardboard, playing cardsIn India, Taash means playing cards. Playing cards are a nationally known and commonly played game in India, so this is my ode to that common love. However, instead of designing an illustration-based card pack, I decided to include new aesthetics and components, thus the banana leaves. Essentially, in India, banana leaves are a common food packing material. Not only does it eliminate harmful plastic containers, but it also helps the food stay fresh due to the thickness of the leaf. Similarly, I crafted a card package out of banana leaves to fuse together customary games and sustainable practices, in a fresh, sustainable, and mindful method.
